[Bungo Stray Dogs / Double Zhong] The Perfect Match

While drinking and chatting with his friends, they started talking about their ideal types. The only one who hadn't answered yet was 16-year-old Chuuya Nakahara.

Under his friends' teasing, expectant gazes, Chuuya thought for a moment before replying:

"Someone who can protect themselves to some extent, doesn't mind the Mafia, and isn't on the opposing side."

He didn't want to put them in danger, and he didn't want to be their enemy.

"It'd be great if we had things in common, or if they could get into motorcycles, red wine, games, and rock music. I'd be open to their interests, too."

That way they could go riding together, drink together, have fun together, listen to music together, and do so many other things.

"Someone who's straightforward."

Speaking plainly could prevent a lot of misunderstandings and tragedies. He'd do his best to understand them, but he also hoped they would tell him honestly what they thought. Even if they argued, they wouldn't let their feelings linger overnight.

"As for height..." Chuuya paused. "Around the same as mine."

They could hug whenever they wanted, and easily look each other in the face as they walked side by side.

His friends, who had been nodding along until then, hesitated this time.

They said, "Maybe lower your standards a little."

They'd never seen a cool girl short enough to reach the ground while sitting on a motorcycle, let alone one shorter than Chuuya.

Chuuya flushed with embarrassment and snapped, "I'm still going to grow!"

Just as his friends were about to start celebrating his lifelong bachelorhood in advance, someone appeared who perfectly fit Chuuya's requirements.

They were in the same organization, shared the same ideals and interests, and were about the same height. Their personalities were familiar to him, and they could understand each other's thoughts with a single glance.

They were connected, even down to their souls.

His perfect match...
