Picking the Stars

Sweet girl vs. cool-headed forensic pathologist

The first time Chong Yao saw Jiang Hanzhou, she was captivated by his handsome looks and gentlemanly manners. She couldn't bear to look away, as though even missing a single glance would be a sin.

To catch a few more glimpses of him, she would wait outside the door early every morning, deliberately bump into him, and run along behind him.

Jiang Hanzhou was the most promising forensic pathologist in the city bureau. Though still young, he had already cracked several major cases. His colleagues thought the only thing he was interested in was corpses, including the ones turned into specimens.

Until one day, a colleague saw the famously aloof Jiang Hanzhou crouched in front of a pretty girl, applying medicine to her wound and gently blowing on it.

Later, another colleague saw him stay by her side without leaving for a moment after she was frightened by a horrific crime scene. He even draped his own jacket over her, the one he never let anyone touch.

At a gathering with colleagues outside the bureau, Jiang Hanzhou took a phone call, stood up, and said as he left, "My girlfriend got drunk celebrating her best friend's birthday and called to flirt with me. I'm going to take her home."

You are the dream I've always longed for, by Jiang Hanzhou
