Chasing the Light

In 2019, a crime novel took the internet by storm, and countless readers wept over the beautiful love between the male and female leads.

Chen Lening was one of them.

In the story, the male and female leads were abused, abandoned by their parents, and casually sold off... In order to survive, the two gradually turned to crime, murdering nineteen people in all.

On the night before their wedding, the male lead took the blame for everything to protect the female lead, then killed himself. The female lead followed him in death...

The leads' bond, which transcended life and death, and their tragic experiences moved readers. Yet the supporting character who doggedly pursued the murderer for ten years became one of the most hated characters in the story.

If not for him, the leads could have buried their past, become good people, and started a new life, instead of watching everything turn into a complete tragedy.

Chen Lening stayed up all night arguing with people online, furiously mocking and berating the supporting character who pursued the killer in hundreds of posts. Then, in a moment of carelessness, she died suddenly and was reborn years earlier

Then she discovered that she had become the daughter of a cannon-fodder family who were about to be murdered by the novel's leads...
