Let Me Cook for You

#A Slice-of-Life Food Story# Zhou Yi'an is a top screenwriter in the industry and a level-ten home chef in her spare time. She enjoys fresh chives in spring, four-fruit soup in summer, steamed persimmon cakes in autumn, and peppery pork tripe chicken soup in winter... She takes care of herself all year round, and never eats the same thing twice. She thought this peaceful, carefree life would go on, but right after the New Year, she ran into her ex-boyfriend, Ji Chi, whom she hadn't seen in years. They were classmates for three years in high school and a couple for four years in college, but their breakup hadn't exactly been amicable. Years later, they became neighbors, with one living upstairs from the other. Zhou Yi'an immediately curled her lip and shut the door in record time. Ji Chi went downstairs with a blank expression, without looking back. #When a couple breaks up, neither looks back. Whoever begs to get back together is a dog.# -- Before long, Zhou Yi'an found her ex-boyfriend on her doorstep, so hungry he was about to pass out. Poor Dr. Ji had just finished a night shift. He was so hungry his eyes were unfocused, and all he could smell was the mouthwatering aroma of shrimp and bamboo shoot dumplings in soup, along with soy milk and fried dough sticks. The man who was always decisive at work was now leaning against the wall, utterly drained and looking weak.
