Yokohama is a place where there's a show to watch every day, and it's home to a bunch of cats who spend every day watching the show: They get to watch humans hurt each other from time to time, and whenever they're bored, they go tease the president of the Armed Detective Agency, then mooch food and drinks off them all over again. On a wall in Yokohama. Silver tabby: "Hey, I hear there's another rat in Yokohama." Bombay cat tilts its head: "So, does the Armed Detective Agency know?" Tuxedo cat licks its paw, utterly composed: "...Well, maybe the detective knows. Right, Natsume?" A calico cat mixed in with them: "Uh, probably?" Gray tabby falls into thought: "What's going on? Are humans really that useless at catching rats?" "Don't put it like that," says the Birman cat earnestly. "Nonhumans other than cats aren't much use either." "..." After a brief silence, all the cats nod in agreement. The sky is blue, the sea is clear.
