[New story: [Volleyball] Even an All-Round Idol Has to Play Volleyball!]

Blurb:

As an NPC who exists to be useful, Hiiragi Eiji’s mission is to do everything he can to help the “main characters” of the world fulfill their wishes. Even if it costs him his life, he has no regrets.

But perhaps his saintly aura was simply too powerful. Before he knew it, he’d reached several endings that were completely out of character for a mere supporting NPC.

[A Final Wish]

Beside the boy who had no signs of life, a bandaged boy carefully took his cold hand.

“My final wish is for you to come back to life.”

But he knew that the person who had always been the most accepting and patient companion would never return.

[A False Eternity]

It was a photograph taken when they graduated from the police academy. All six boys wore radiant smiles.

But the person standing in the middle had saved everyone else, and every trace of his existence had been frozen in a still image.

“...Idiot. Couldn’t you have thought about yourself before acting?”

“Please, don’t let the story end here.”

[The Savior]

The person who gave his life to protect Shibuya during the battle, who broke the Prison Realm’s seal at the last moment, who turned the tide of the ever-changing battlefield

became an inconspicuous name on the memorial at Jujutsu High.

Yet he also became an indelible mark in the hearts of his comrades.

After the story ended, Hiiragi Eiji was surprised to discover that his fixed title, “useful NPC,” had disappeared. In its place was, “protagonist.”

His emotional importance in the hearts of the main characters had grown so great that he’d been promoted.

And protagonists were protected by the rule that they couldn’t die.

So Hiiragi Eiji came back to life.

Having experienced the light, he wanted to pass it on to everyone who needed it.

Reader advisory:

The male lead is a saintly type with an unusual thought process and a self-sacrificing personality.

Sincerity for sincerity.

OOC; crossover world.

Sakura and Naruto, and Hinata and Naruto, are both split-up canon pairings. Read with caution if that bothers you.

Many elements are my own inventions, such as the police academy timeline and the timeline of the characters’ deaths.

There is a romantic storyline, but the ending has no CP, so this cannot be categorized as no CP. You can check out my other side story about a supporting NPC.

Please don’t mention other people’s works under my story, and please don’t mention mine under other authors’ stories. Thank you. I will delete comments like that, as well as unrelated topics.

[New story: [Volleyball] Even an All-Round Idol Has to Play Volleyball!]

Arisu Kurimu is hailed as an all-round idol. Whether it’s singing, dancing, studying, or sports, he excels at everything!

But just before starting high school, he had an especially terrifying precognitive dream.

In the dream, he got the chance to audition for a blockbuster TV series about volleyball.

But the audition was broadcast live nationwide, and the contestants had to play a match on the spot.

Arisu Kurimu didn’t even know the rules of volleyball. He was unceremoniously carried off the court and eliminated.

“So much for being an all-round idol, a genius boy, and the consummate professional. What a glorious downfall!”

Arisu Kurimu woke up with a start. After confirming that the dream was real, he rushed to join his school’s volleyball team.

He would never let his perfect image crumble, unless he was dead!

Volleyball was nothing! He’d make it look easy!

-

After the new students arrived, Aoba Johsai’s volleyball team welcomed an especially unusual libero.

At first:

Player A: “He’s glowing!”

Player B: “His expression is perfect no matter what he’s doing!”

Player C: “How does he even look like he has a beauty filter on when he’s crying after losing?!”

After a diving save, Arisu Kurimu sprang gracefully to his feet.

Hmph... Volleyball was nothing

Then he turned and met the terrifying gaze of his senior, Oikawa.

Oikawa Tooru: “Arisu, are you here to play volleyball, or to perform onstage?”

Later

Arisu Kurimu: “I’ll even crawl under the coach’s bench to save the ball!”

Player A: “???? You remember how you used to sparkle all the time, right?! Get out from under that chair, Arisu!”

Arisu Kurimu: “Aaaaaah!” (sprinting wildly after the ball)

Player B: “Arisu! Your expression’s gone haywire! This is a live broadcast! Don’t you care about your image?!”

After losing, Arisu Kurimu threw his head back and burst into devastated tears.

Player C: “Where’s your expression control? Where’s the beauty filter?!”

Oikawa turned and draped his sports jacket over Arisu Kurimu’s head.

-

After Arisu Kurimu joined Aoba Johsai, every match he played became a celebration for his haters.

At first:

[The adorable princess is on the court again! What kind of amazing performance will he give us this time?]

[He has to act even during a match. I’m tired just watching him.]

[His expression is completely frozen, isn’t it? You’d need ten years of practicing in front of a mirror to pull that off.]

Gradually:

[???? What happened to that frozen expression control?!]

[Who even are you?! Who is this all-round libero combining sprinting, speed, and hurdling on the court?!]

Later:

[The adorable princess is number one! Don’t cry! You’re the strongest!]

[Weren’t you supposed to be haters?! Why are you competing with me for tickets?! Give me back my ticket to the national finals!]

Theme: Pass on the flame of hope.
