A Tale of Redemption

The synopsis has been screenshotted.

Chu Xiuhuai has amnesia. Specifically, he remembers everyone except Tang Ning.

Then he happens to see on TV that his ex-girlfriend, who abandoned him to pursue a career in Hollygood, is returning to the country. It all clicks. Tang Ning must be a substitute for the ex-girlfriend he went looking for.

So when people tell him that Tang Ning is his girlfriend, Chu Xiuhuai refuses to believe it.

"If Tang Ning were my girlfriend, I'd get on my knees in front of her and kneel on a durian. To tell you the truth, she's just the substitute I found."

By chance, Tang Ning hears him while bringing him congee. Without changing her expression, she dumps the takeout congee into the trash. What a jerk. What does he need congee for? He can drink air!

Later...

Chu Xiuhuai stands in the supermarket holding a durian. "Honey, can we pick a softer one?"

Tang Ning gives him a fake smile. "Who's your honey? I'm just the substitute you found."

I forgot you, but I never forgot that I loved you.

P.S. Although the male lead has amnesia, he doesn't fall for his ex-girlfriend.

Honey, can we pick a softer durian to kneel on?

The heroine is called Tang Man at first, then changes her name to Tang Ning later.

Theme: Nothing is an excuse to hurt someone.
