I Ascended from the Start, Yet Still Have to Work

Qi Lan died, came back to life, and discovered that he had ascended.

The world after ascension wasn't quite what he'd expected. For instance, it turned out immortals had to eat, eating cost money, and they had to earn that money by working.

Qi Lan was broke, and nearly starved to death on his first day after ascending.

To earn a meal, Qi Lan went down to the mortal realm to punish evil, earn a little money, and uphold the good. There, a blind man took an interest in him.

The blind man said, "You're going to have a bloody disaster."

Qi Lan said, "I don't have any money."
