A Love We Both Cherish

A gentle, secretly dark puppy type x a silly canary beauty

Fake gentleness x genuine silliness. A story about a dog pouncing on a bird.

Blurb:

Only after breaking up did Chao Wan learn that her ex had a gentle, idealized Omega in her heart, and that she had been nothing more than a substitute for that person.

Everyone in the industry said that three-time Best Actress Ji Tanyue was cool-headed and self-possessed, as bright and pristine as the moon. She never crossed the line, and was both dignified and gentle.

But Chao Wan, who had accidentally wandered into Ji Tanyue's cage, knew that the idealized love was not gentle at all. She had been plotting for a long time, intending to take Chao Wan apart and devour her.

*

The System issued a mission: kiss Ji Tanyue.

With her life points about to run out, Chao Wan's eyes grew misty. She asked in a small voice,

"Ms. Ji, c-can I kiss you?"

Ji Tanyue smiled gently. "You can, but there are conditions."

The silly beauty nodded obediently. "What conditions?"

Ji Tanyue guided her hand to her lips. "You have to kiss... here."

*

Afterward, the silly beauty's back and waist ached. She covered the back of her neck, marked with suggestive red traces, and asked in a small, aggrieved voice,

"Aren't you an Omega? How can you bite me?"

Ms. Ji was like a gentle dog who would not take no for an answer, making her cry until the tears wouldn't stop.

The idealized love smiled and brushed a fingertip over her lips. "Because you're a silly little bird."

The silly beauty who had wandered into Ji Tanyue's cage thought she was a canary. So every day, she walked on eggshells, earning life points by cuddling with her rival, Ji Tanyue.

But she didn't know that Ji Tanyue's diary had long been filled with the name "Chao Wan," and every photo in the hidden compartment was of her.

She was a memory Ji Tanyue didn't dare touch, and a brief, sweet dream she had long yearned for.

On the back of a photo, a line of neat handwriting read:

How can I get the silly little bird to willingly fly into my cage?

*She pretends to be an Alpha, and she pretends to be an Omega

*Female Alpha, no accessories

*A touch of canary fiction
