Flirting in Plain Sight, Loving in Secret

In her previous life, Mu Yanxi loved Yi Jingming as if under a spell. She bent over backward to please him and exhausted herself working for him. Only after she died did she learn that she was merely a cannon-fodder character in a novel, destined to sacrifice everything so the protagonists could have their happy ending. Reborn, Mu Yanxi decided she would no longer play along. They were expecting her to work from within and help them inherit the estate, right? Fine. Then she would marry Yi Wulan right away. Even if Yi Wulan died, Yi Jingming wouldn't get the family fortune. Before the engagement could be called off, Mu Yanxi rushed back to the main hall of the Yi family. Yi Wulan sat in a wheelchair, her long skirt trailing on the floor, her bearing refined and noble. Her stunning peach-blossom eyes held a distant refusal. Fearless and full of flirtatious remarks, Mu Yanxi pressed her tongue to the roof of her mouth. Her eyes shimmered, red from running.
