At Sunset

As the priest of a small town, Mei Yin leads a simple life, spending most of his time at the church. His ordinary days changed after he picked a black rose. Though he had never dreamed before, from then on he saw a man in his dreams every night. He could never make out the man's face, but his pale golden hair seemed to glow in the darkness. When Mei Yin awoke, strange red marks would appear on his neck. Stranger still, the rose on the little table beside his bed gradually turned dark red.

It was almost laughable. He was a priest, yet he didn't really believe in such strange phenomena. But this time, he couldn't help suspecting the black rose. A strange flower like this was best thrown away as soon as possible.

Just as he was about to toss it out, the rose's petals began to fall slowly into his hand, until they had all vanished. The black petals turned into dark mist, and a strangely dressed man appeared. He had pale golden hair and unusually deep green eyes.

The sight was so surreal that it was impossible not to be afraid, but at the very least, he shouldn't show it. Mei Yin dropped the stem in his hand and turned to leave as if nothing had happened, only for something furry to catch around his waist.

Oh, God, it was a white tail. He swore he didn't usually call upon God's name except when saying his prayers, unless it was a special circumstance.

Mei Yin looked away and tried to reach back and remove the tail, but the man behind him spoke. The furry tail swished. "Human? Are you going to abandon me?"
