Su Yu was once the most promising young actress in the industry. The year she graduated, she was nominated for the Golden Branch Award for Best Newcomer, and her career seemed unstoppable.

Unfortunately, she peaked at debut. The campus beauty became a laughingstock, and in the six years that followed, she produced no breakout work and gradually faded from the spotlight.

By chance, Su Yu was invited to join a travel variety show. Wen Ye, a top-tier star who had recently returned to China, was also part of the cast.

Everyone thought the two of them would simply finish filming and part ways on friendly terms.

But after filming wrapped, the team appeared in their finery on a talk show. The host asked, "Miss Su, describe each person on the team in one word."

The faint scent of tobacco on the man washed over her. He gave a silent, mocking laugh, then lightly rubbed the cherry earring dangling from the woman’s pink earlobe. His gaze was frighteningly dark.

Soon after returning, he landed several fashion endorsements from luxury giants, while a line of directors waited for him to star in their films.

After they appeared on the travel variety show, rumors about Wen Ye and Su Yu grew more and more intense.

One day, Wen Ye participated in a livestream to promote his new drama, but the stream was forced to end early after fifteen minutes.

It was all because Wen Ye answered one question.

Comments: "Brother Ye, Brother Ye, do you still keep in touch with your first love?"

Wen Ye smiled with a roguish, carefree air. "My first love? She’s been gone for a long time."

The comments went wild: Holy crap, Brother Ye, when did this happen?

Wen Ye narrowed his eyes and thought for a moment. "A few years ago."
