Tang Tang is famous for being a well-behaved girl. She’s so gentle that her friends wonder if she’s ever even gotten angry or argued with anyone.
But one day, they actually witnessed Tang Tang hitting Chi Chuan, the school’s most popular guy. They nervously gave her a thumbs-up: “You’re amazing, girl!”
With her back to her friends, Tang Tang blushed so hard she could have bled. In a voice that was barely intimidating, she warned Chi Chuan, “The tiger just hasn’t shown its claws. Don’t mistake me for a pushover!”

Chi Chuan is one of the toughest guys at No. 1 High School. With a face good enough to make him a top-tier star, he spends his days causing trouble. Everyone is scared of him, and his underlings keep wondering what kind of woman could ever get him under control.
Then one day, they witnessed this:
Chi Chuan brought Tang Tang breakfast, delivering the warmest words in his coolest voice. “Eat up, or your gastritis will flare up again.”
Later, Chi Chuan became the top student in the whole school. He took her hand and ordered, “From now on, you can only ask me for help with problems you can’t solve.”
His underlings were stunned. So Brother Chuan likes sweet, gentle girls!
Blurb for Dangerous Heartbeat
[Bright, sunny heiress × gentle, refined new family head]
Ji Xue has always kept a secret, one no one knows about. Then one day, Second Young Master Jin discovers the secret she has carefully hidden away.
“Xuexue, you like my uncle?! I always thought you liked my big brother! Leaving aside how hard my uncle is to deal with, aren’t you two kind of far apart in age?”
Ji Xue hurriedly clapped a hand over Second Young Master Jin’s gossipy mouth. A figure passed by them, and her little face instantly turned red.
It was Jin Wei, the Jin family’s newly appointed head, who had only recently returned from abroad. He was the youngest son, and the one Old Master Jin adored and valued most. She hadn’t seen him in years, and yet he had become even more mature.
“But it’s only a six-year age gap. That’s not so much, is it?”
The man, who had already walked a few steps away, suddenly turned around. When Ji Xue saw the face she dreamed of day and night, her heart skipped a beat.
“Little one, it’s been so long. Don’t you recognize me? Why aren’t you saying hello?”
Ji Xue swallowed her indignation and unwillingly called him by the title she least wanted to use.
Jin Wei considered himself steady and sensible, a man who always had a plan. Then the granddaughter of one of Old Master Jin’s comrades from his younger days came to stay with the Jin family, and all his plans changed. He also gained a little shadow who chattered away behind him all day.
Thankfully, going abroad finally brought him some peace and quiet, but for some reason, he felt an emptiness inside.
Years later, he returned home and saw that little girl again. He had thought she would cling to him just like she did when she was young, but she had changed. He couldn’t resist teasing her, and the pout on her face made him realize something.
With time, the girl seemed to have grown distant from him. Did she even dislike him a little?
Bonus scene:
Ji Xue invited many friends to her twentieth birthday party, including several members of the Jin family. Jin Wei gave her a gift she really liked, his tone polite and gentlemanly.
“Happy birthday, little one.”
“Jin Wei! I’m twenty! I’ve been an adult for two years now. I’m not a little kid!”
Everyone there was someone important in their circles. Seeing the Jin family’s untouchable head of the family get shut down like this by Ji Xue, they didn’t know whether to hide or pretend to be deaf. As they debated whether to take their leave, they heard the audacious Ji Xue confess to Jin Wei in front of everyone.
“Jin Wei, I’ve got my eye on you. Tell me, will you be my boyfriend?”
A flicker of shock crossed Jin Wei’s eyes, and he asked, puzzled, “Don’t you like Xiao Sen?”
Xiao Sen? Jin Sen again! The Jin family’s eldest young master! Where on earth did the rumor that she liked him even come from?
