Tales of the Southern Frontier and Northern Lands

This story is complete. Other works in my author profile are being serialized right now~~~ (There are other little trees to check out, too~~~) Feel free to pop over and have a look, cuties

Ling Ling is the spirit maiden of the Spirit Clan, a child of the Heavenly Dao. When she wakes one day, she discovers that not only has her spiritual power dried up, but everyone has turned against her.

Fortunately, she happens upon a Dao Lord from the human realm along the way.

Though young, the Dao Lord is immensely powerful.

At first, Ling Ling is trapped in an illusion and demands, with complete confidence despite having no grounds to do so, that the Dao Lord help her.

Later, Ling Ling calmly brings the Dao Lord out from behind her and says, “I must trouble you to help, Dao Lord.”

When the spirit maiden finds out she is married: “Heavenly Dao, why are you meddling in matchmaking? When did I sign a marriage pact?”

The young Dao Lord fixes his gaze on the spirit maiden trying to run away. “I, Ju Wen, am much younger than you, Spirit Maiden. Now that we are married, please guide me whenever there is anything I don't understand.”

(The Six Realms are humans, demons, devils, immortals, spirits, and ghosts.) Some worldbuilding details are original, along with ideas I've had for a while.

The story is nearly over. Here are the stories still to come:

[Ten Miles of Red Finery, At Last Brought to Ruin] [Master of the Hanging Coffin, You Left Me a Way Out] [He Said North, But Went South] [Flowers Bloom on Both Banks, A Love That Goes Both Ways] [An Encounter in Liang City, A Dream of Yellow Millet] [The Complete Book of Tianxu, The Beginning of the Illusion] [A Life-Calamity Is Hard to Escape, A Love-Calamity Is Hard to Read] [Southern Jambudvipa, Impermanence as the Norm] [A Bone-Scented Boat Crossing, Gone in an Instant]

This is not a wacky comedy!!! I'm not too fond of mindless stories, but I do like multiple couples, scenes full of love, and characters with personality. That's all, and my writing is limited.

The title is provisional.

Theme: It's okay not to remember what's unimportant. What matters is taking the next step well.
