After My Betrothed Broke Off Our Engagement, I Married the Sickly Prince to Bring Him Good Fortune

[Sweet Romance, 1v1, Historical ABO]

At eighteen, Xie Zhiyu was entering her eighteenth year of preparing for marriage when her fiance suddenly called off their engagement, saying he wanted to marry her younger sister instead.

To get rid of Xie Zhiyu for good, her fiance's family plotted to send her to Prince Rui, who was near death, as a bride to bring him good fortune.

Everyone said that Cen Nanyi, Prince Rui, had been dazzling in his youth, like a gleaming pearl or emerald. But after coming of age, he had fallen on hard times and seemed destined for a short, uneventful life.

Yet after the wedding meant to bring him good fortune, Prince Rui, who had been as good as a living corpse, opened his eyes, began to speak, and even got back on his feet.

The emperor was overjoyed and issued an imperial decree summoning Prince Rui to court.

"I'm not fully recovered," the prince replied lazily, using just four words. He was busy in the rear courtyard of his estate, holding Xie Zhiyu in one arm and letting her climb a tree to gather snow from its plum blossoms.
