This story was written by the friend who is a chronic no-show, mentioned in Extra Chapter 4 of The Moon Sets Over Yao Terrace. I'm posting it for her.

She felt drowsy and finally drifted off to sleep. In her dream, she and her junior disciple returned to the Jiangnan of their youth, after a long separation.

It must have been the season when plums ripen, the rainy season in Jiangnan. She sat aboard a boat, holding a bamboo flute and playing along with the soft patter of the night rain outside. Voices drifted over from a distant pavilion by a bridge.

She turned to her junior disciple with a smile and said, "Shall we come to Jiangnan every year from now on?"

The lamp wicks burn low, and the painted screen is shadowed by dark red plantains. In a carefree dream, it is plum-ripening season in Jiangnan. A flute sounds on a boat at night as rain patters softly, and voices carry from a bridge beside the post station.

Warning: This story has a mountain of headcanons. If that's not your thing, please move along. Any out-of-character writing is my responsibility. Please don't associate it with the original actors.

Summary: What would the senior sister do if the King of Yin Eclipse conquered the Three Realms...

Premise: In the end, they still take different roads and become strangers.
