[Happy Seven Fairies] The Vast Sea Turns to Dust Through Ten Thousand Autumns (Erosion King X Queen Mother)

After Yin Shi Wang was sealed away in the forbidden grounds once more, the Queen Mother changed the heavenly laws, abolishing the old rule that immortals, demons, and spirits could not fall in love. But soon afterward, she died from the toll of two great battles, and the seven princesses became the new rulers of heaven and earth.

Yet the Seven-Star Alignment's power to suppress Yin Shi Wang was closely tied to the divine power of the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother. After both of them died, the Seven-Star Alignment's hold over Yin Shi Wang weakened greatly.

Fifty thousand years later, Yin Shi Wang broke out of the forbidden grounds for the second time. His whereabouts were hard to trace, and many immortals, demons, and spirits across the Three Realms were lured into demonic corruption. Wan Yue, the eldest princess Hong Er's eldest daughter, had been childhood friends and lovers with her junior fellow disciple Feng Xing since they were young. Feng Xing, too, was lured into demonic corruption. Wan Yue descended to the mortal realm in an attempt to bring him back, but encountered Yin Shi Wang disguised as Feng Xing. Wan Yue began to discover a strange secret about herself…

Yang Wanjin. Wang Mingyue.

This was a scheme laid five thousand years ago. The one who devised it had calculated everything, except for her own heart.

And after millions of years of devotion and longing, they finally met again.

“If I wander, as a mayfly crossing the dust of heaven and earth, I will meet you again at the end of the primordial world.”

“What keeps us traveling over mountains and rivers, never stopping? The distant reunion is our only faith.”

Recommended background music: “Where the Mountains End and Rivers Flow,” “Untitled Snow”

01 Yin Shi Wang x Queen Mother. The title comes from the Tang dynasty poem “Queen Mother,” by the Immortals of the Shu Palace: “How many autumns have passed since the sea became dust? Peach blossoms bloom, bringing an everlasting spring's sorrow. If you have not come, thousands of years have passed. Where do King Mu of Zhou and Emperor Wu of Han now wander?”

02 Over 10,000 words in total. Extremely melodramatic, with many original deviations from canon and out-of-character portrayals. Angst in the middle, happy ending. Read at your own discretion.
