Call Me Big Brother

Blurb:

When Qu Lingxi was seven, her father died in battle and her mother followed him in death. Left alone in the world, she was adopted as the former prime minister's goddaughter.

The former prime minister had a noble young master in his household, gifted, brilliant, and distinguished. On the day she arrived, he looked at her coldly. "Call me big brother."

"...Big brother," she said timidly.

Eight years later, Qu Lingxi had become the most beautiful woman in Yezhou. Matchmakers came to the Song residence every few days, nearly wearing a path into the doorstep. On the night of her fifteenth birthday, Song Qijing came to her room.

Head lowered, she deliberately put on an ingratiating air. "Big brother." In truth, she hated him, because beneath his handsome exterior lurked a demon.

"Go on, pretend. I like watching you pretend." He sat down, his gaze dark, and tapped the space beside him again and again. "Come here. I have a birthday present for you."

From then on, he came to her room whenever he had time.

A year later, Song Qijing passed the highest imperial examination and went to the capital to serve as an official. A few days later, Qu Lingxi married someone else.

She had thought she could finally escape him, but her husband got into trouble while taking up a post in the capital.

When they met again, Song Qijing sat on the bed, his face full of mockery. "Dear little sister, I thought you'd forgotten all about me."

"...Big brother, please let him go." Her face was flushed, and she had just been crying.

"Not enough. Say it again." He watched her with interest and spoke softly. "I'm insatiable, after all."
