Just as he wished, the mob plot really does change: every companion he recruits is dependable, the villains are driven back at every turn, and he dismantles all the forces of evil, becoming a great hero celebrated by everyone...

Wait, isn't everything going a little too smoothly?

Only when the crowd lifts him onto the throne does he realize that nobody ever stopped coveting him. If anything, they've become even more obsessed!

“Master, grant me happiness. Whip me hard! Make me beg for mercy!”

“Leader, if the world betrays you, I'll destroy the whole world!”

“You are a god, and gods deserve to be worshipped. Step over my corpse and take the throne!”

Every morning, he wakes to a tsundere kid fighting for his attention on one side and a scheming strategist giving him private lessons on the other. A gorgeous, tragic knight follows him everywhere, ready to die for him, and at home a big-breasted daddy type washes up and cooks for him...
