The main story is complete! Next up: “Chronic Hypoxia” (launching by June 22 at the latest).
During the last winter break before the college entrance exams, Xu Yiying went north to see the snow. On the way, she ran into Chi Sui, a student at her school.
She paid him no mind and climbed the mountain alone just before dawn, the bare skin of her neck exposed to the biting cold.
Suddenly, a warm breath brushed past her. She instinctively clutched the scarf someone had wrapped more tightly around her, then turned and met a pair of deep-set eyes.
His gaze was as sharp and cold as frost, but the smile at his lips carried a touch of carefree mischief.
That day, they sat together on the snowy mountain.
Xu Yiying said, “You’re not quite like the rumors say.”
The rumors claimed Chi Sui was arrogant and conceited, so foul-tempered he had no friends, and could snap someone’s arm with one hand. Not like now, quietly watching the sunrise with her.
“They say you’re a B-king who uses your family’s money to do whatever you want, and also...”
“They say you like men.”
Chi Sui paused, rested one hand on his knee, and lazily tossed the question back at her. “Are you a man?”
The ambiguous remark left plenty of room for the imagination.
At the time, Xu Yiying thought he’d just said it offhandedly. Years later, when they met again, she suddenly remembered that chaotic winter...
He reached around her neck to put on her headphones. The song playing inside sang:
“We were young and innocent, watching a warm dawn break together.”
Only then did she realize that the confession she had taken for a joke hadn’t been a moment’s teasing.
Their supposed chance encounter had been planned by him long ago.

-“Chronic Hypoxia”-
When Xia Ran was fourteen, she moved into Uncle Jin’s house with her mother, and gained a nemesis: Jin Sirang.
She couldn’t stand his pretentious aloofness, while he looked down on her vulgarity and ignorance.
He hated her calling him big brother, so she kept provoking him by whispering it in his ear.
Xia Ran remembers exactly when Jin Sirang began accepting that title.
It was shortly after their parents went their separate ways, and after their first kiss.
After that, she rarely called him big brother.
She loved Jin Sirang, so she couldn’t bear to make him angry or sad again. But in the end, she was still the one who hurt him most.
-
Jin Sirang thought he would never fall for Xia Ran in this lifetime.
But he was the first one to lose his heart.
After they reunited, he kept reminding himself in self-deception that this time, he had the upper hand.
-
“Why open a bookstore?”
“Because you used to make fun of me for being vulgar.”
“I’m the vulgar one.” A shadow of desire entered Jin Sirang’s eyes. “For years, you’ve appeared in my dreams every night.”

Theme: Romance everlasting, even unto death
This book is okay so far. I like both the male and female protagonists, but sometimes their relationship feels weird because the male protagonist said he has Bai Yueguang (I know it's the female protagonist). I feel like some of the behaviors are over the line, but it doesn't seem to be, but overall it's okay.
Good! Happiness! Joyous! Ah!
