On a rainy day, Lin Xiao Cao finds a kitten by the roadside.
It is a stray, shivering, just like her.

She hesitates in the rain for a long time, then steels herself and rushes into a veterinary clinic.

She dotes on it, bathing it and changing its bandages, and lets it sleep beside her pillow at night.
She adopts it.
Lin Xiao Cao is envious. "It's so lucky. It has a home now."
A happier life than hers.
Chen Xi Shu pats the young woman's head.
"If you want, this can be your home forever, too."
You found it, and I found you.
We lean on each other and keep each other warm.
A heart that's always been adrift no longer needs to wander.

In Xiao Xiao Cao's eyes, humans are terrifying creatures, scarier than rainstorms and freezing winds.
Until one day, it meets a young woman, then meets a strange lady.
From then on, its food bowl is always full, and the whole house becomes its territory.
Its servants gradually grow from one to two.
"Meow, meow, meow!"
Happiness!
It does start to wonder about something, though.
