Martyr [Interstellar]

A cultured scoundrel of a politician who keeps getting caught with his pants down, the receiver x a cold, aloof, secretly passionate judge, the top. A power couple who flirt relentlessly and love and hate each other in equal measure.

Year 2584, Rylanda State Prison.

"Alert! Alert! Prisoner 96951 has escaped!"

Under the red warning lights, Fu Liushen turned and fired a single shot, shattering the infrared surveillance camera before vanishing into the night with a cold laugh.

Half an hour later, seated aboard a starship, he heard a familiar voice through his communication bracelet.

"Fu, Liu, shen..." The man was so restrained even as he ground out the words, cold as snow on a mountain. "I will put you on trial again."

Fu Liushen swirled the red wine in his glass. Behind his gold-rimmed glasses, his expression was relaxed and mocking. His low voice, tinged with the crackle of static, reached the man's ears. "Your Honor, I'm afraid you won't get the chance. We... will never meet again."

Three years later, the Independent State government held a press conference about a murder near the state border.

Dressed in a suit, Fu Liushen spotted a man walking toward him with an impassive expression.

"The September 21 murder has been classified as a serious interstate crime. The Federal Court has approved the establishment of a joint court between the two states. I am Jiang Yu, chief judge of the joint court." The man looked at him coldly. "Fu Liushen, chairman of the Governor's Advisory Council, the police investigation has found that you are connected to this case. However, you refuse to cooperate with the investigation as a witness. I can only summon you to appear in court on behalf of the joint court. Please submit to the court's investigation."

Fu Liushen graciously accepted the witness summons and gave him a refined, courteous smile. "Judge Jiang, shouldn't old friends who meet again sit down and share a glass of red wine?"

"Red wine?" Jiang Yu's lips curled. "Three years ago, someone said, 'We will never meet again.'"

Fu Liushen: "..."

"In the eyes of God, all people are like countless ants, living out their lives in obscurity. Have you ever seen a martyr?

They give their lives for the majesty of the law, and for the nobility of freedom. Their bodies perish, but their souls live forever. That is their ideal.

You were born human, just like them. What would you be willing to give your life for? Would you be willing to become... a martyr?"

1. Fu is the receiver, Jiang is the top. Older top, one-on-one, happy ending.

2. The setting is made up: a future interstellar world. Imagine that hundreds of years from now, the surviving humans on Earth have moved to other planets.

3. There is one side couple: an army colonel x an air force major.

4. The receiver had a reason for going to prison. He didn't do anything heinous. The top didn't frame him either; their conflict is mainly due to differences in their beliefs.

5. A little mystery, with several cases. The author's logic is dead.
