I Fell Into the Demon Realm and Became the Demon Consort

● Probably a novella (100,000-200,000 words)

● Unhinged beauty seme VS innocent, naive uke

The Demon Realm's Lord, Bo Xun, was bathing when a Vermilion Bird fell from the sky and plopped right into his bath, landing squarely on top of him.

Bo Xun: Where did this little phoenix come from? Its feathers are so beautiful. It would make a gorgeous robe if I plucked them all.

When Chi Yuan woke up, he asked, "Who am I? Where am I?"

Bo Xun lied without batting an eye. "You're a pheasant I found while out for a stroll."

Chi Yuan: "Thank you, Demon Lord, for saving my life."

"Since you have nowhere to go, why not stay by my side and serve me?" And preferably hand over your feathers, too!

From then on, Bo Xun had to stroke the feathers on Chi Yuan every day. If he didn't, he couldn't sleep.

Three hundred years later, the God of War of the Celestial Realm was getting married, and Bo Xun brought Chi Yuan to the wedding banquet.

Chi Yuan's eldest brother recognized Chi Yuan, who had been missing for three hundred years, and the Red Flame Golden Feathers Bo Xun was wearing.

He mistakenly believed that Bo Xun had caused Chi Yuan's tribulation to fail three hundred years ago, and fought a fierce battle with him.

At the crucial moment, Chi Yuan took a sword meant for Bo Xun. The blow wounded his primordial spirit, leaving him unable to maintain human form.

He needed to go to the Arctic Ice Pool to purge the demonic energy from his body, then enter the Spirit-Nurturing Pool to stabilize his primordial spirit.

Bo Xun kept watch by the icy pool for three hundred years, but when Chi Yuan woke, he had forgotten him.

Chi Yuan: "Who are you?"

Bo Xun: "I am Bo Xun, the Demon Lord of the Demon Realm."

Chi Yuan: "This place is bitterly cold. If demons trespass here, they'll destroy their cultivation. Why are you here?"

Bo Xun: "To repay a debt."

Chi Yuan: "What debt?"

Bo Xun: "A debt of love, and a debt for a life."

Chi Yuan plucked a golden feather from himself and gave it to him. "This immortal feels we are fated to meet. Take this golden feather. It can ward off the cold. Once you've repaid your debt, you'd best leave as soon as possible."

With the golden feather in his hand, Bo Xun burst into tears.

Another three hundred years passed, and Chi Yuan ascended to godhood.

The Six Realms came to offer their congratulations. The Demon Lord Bo Xun presented him with a generous gift: a longsword forged from half his cultivation.

Chi Yuan asked Bo Xun, "The Demon Lord and I have met only once. Why do this?"

Bo Xun: "To repay a debt."

Chi Yuan: "I don't remember owing you anything."

Bo Xun: "It's enough that I remember. May the Divine Lord enjoy peace and good fortune."

Bo Xun's cultivation was damaged, throwing the Demon Realm into chaos and leaving the living to suffer. Ignoring all objections, Chi Yuan entered the Demon Realm to save him.

He plunged into the Spirit-Binding Abyss and recovered his memories of the Demon Realm.

Chi Yuan: "Bo Xun, how will you repay the debt you owe me?"

Bo Xun: "You've remembered everything?"

"I have an idea, Your Highness. Why not spend the rest of your life paying it back?"
