[FFXV] The Traveling Cat

She’s just a cat. What could she possibly do?

Jiemi sat primly on the ground, her tail curled around her paws. She held her fluffy little head high, gazing innocently with big, round blue eyes at the adorable little prince standing before her, one hand on his hip and the other holding his now-empty plate.

The kitten tilted her head, playing dumb. Her little expression seemed to silently ask what had happened to this puffed-up two-legged creature.

Once again, Noctis was determined to teach the kitten a lesson she would never forget. He stared straight at Jiemi, but as the little rascal deliberately rubbed against his leg to butter him up, his resolve crumbled once more.

“Jiemi, it’s not that I can’t afford to feed you, but look at you! You’re just a tiny kitten, and you’re gobbling down five jin at a time!”

Noctis sighed and scooped the kitten into his arms. His voice was helpless, with a hint of exasperation, but he could never bring himself to do anything about her.

“Promise me you can eat all you want, but no more six or seven meals a day, with five or six jin at every meal, okay!? If you’re hungry, you can tell me. And one more thing! Stop sneaking my food behind my back all day, okay?!”

Having once again gotten away with it by being cute, Jiemi contentedly rubbed her nose against the little prince’s face, then settled obediently into his warm embrace.

As for the earnest request from the little prince? Hm? Did the one who scoops her litter just say something?

P.S. This breaks up the canon pairing, so if you don’t like that, stay away!! If the little prince didn’t have the protagonist halo, though, I’d much rather ship Luna and Jiemi as a lovey-dovey couple. Sob, she’s such an amazing girl!
