Your Highness Is Hard to Flirt With

Everyone calls Princess Jiang Ying of Jingning heartless: she holds power over the court and is ruthless.

Jiang Ying admits she has no heart. She rarely remembers other people's names.

For instance, she never remembered that man's face or name. She merely spent one night lost in passion with him and had him help her out of a bind. He was no different from any other pawn.

And then there was Ji Chenxie, who returned victorious and rose to the top, wielding great power. The entire court hailed him as the savior of the realm.

Ji what?

Jiang Ying had never given Ji Chenxie so much as a second glance.

Yet when Jiang Ying found herself trapped in the same predicament again, Ji Chenxie stepped into the darkness and took her slender wrist, asking beside her ear:

"Your Highness, surely you'll remember me this time?"

Jiang Ying knows she was born into a dead end. All her life, she has struggled in the mire to no avail.

There are no winners in court. She might as well send everything plunging into hell.

Yet someone keeps walking toward her, step by determined step, to cleave through the endless night for her.

"Jiang Ying, I'll stay by your side and live on with you."
