With the Dragon

Meng Xi has a harder time being empress than most, because two souls live inside Emperor Si Jing's body.

One by day, the other by night.

At first, she thought it was still just one person, so it shouldn't be too tiring.

But she never expected that the one who ruled by day lived by one principle: indulge every desire.

He didn't even read the memorials, leaving all of them for the one who ruled by night.

One day, worried that Si Jing would work himself to death staying up all night to read memorials, Meng Xi made a bold decision.

Anxious, Meng Xi appeared in his great hall, her eyes seeming to brim with tears.

The nighttime Si Jing, a dignified and self-controlled, stern emperor, set down his brush and looked over his boldly dressed empress.

"Your Majesty, are the memorials... more appealing than I am?"

She had to become a seductive empress who would keep the one who ruled by night occupied every day and get him to bed early.

Since they shared one body, the one who ruled by day would then have no desires at all.

But it didn't last long. One day, the daytime Si Jing pinned her against the desk. "What did my empress do last night?"
