The second installment of The Knight's Song. It's fairly short and mostly about what happens when the two reunite after being separated. The pursuit of his wife and the world war are in the third installment, though the start date is undecided. I recommend reading only the first installment.
Tammy is gravely injured during a mission and taken away by an undercover agent on her side for secret training. During her grueling isolation, Cavill is her only emotional support.
But when she returns, the boy she loves has become the princess's fiance.
In a fit of anger, Tammy heads to the front lines, hoping battle will numb her heartache.
Instead, Cavill comes after her. He helps her kill enemies, shamelessly kisses her, and comes up with fresh sweet nothings for her every day.
Tammy demands to know why he is marrying the princess. Cavill replies helplessly and awkwardly, "Ten thousand people held knives to my throat and forced me to marry the princess. I didn't dare refuse."
After a pause, he adds, "But the moment I saw you, I stopped caring whether it was tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands. I realized for certain that you're the only one I love."
*
After nineteen years of rebellion, Cavill never imagined he would give in to a political marriage.
With war looming, every territory covets the power of the Imperial Army. The princess is the only one who can deploy its troops, she will give that authority only to her husband, and she has set her sights on Cavill.
In one night, senior lawmakers, elder mages, and the supreme military commander all come to urge him to marry her.
Cavill keeps Tammy in his heart and remains unmoved.
Until the king leads ten thousand cavalrymen to surround him, their blades pointed at his throat. "You don't want to fall out with the royal family. Marry my daughter. This is the king's order."
The king even stations a hundred elite soldiers at the wedding to stop Cavill from running away.
But just as the vows are about to be spoken, a battered Tammy kicks open the doors to the wedding banquet in front of everyone.
When Cavill sees her return, he acts on impulse, abandons the princess, and runs after Tammy.
To hell with political marriage!
[Determined noble lord pursuing his wife x loyal, healing powerhouse knight]
[Reader's Guide]
1. There will be romantic complications, but for the most part the leads are strong and devoted to each other.
2. The male lead and the princess are in a political marriage, which will be called off. Enter at your own risk if you dislike dramatic love triangles or a fake crematorium trope! The drama may hit some sore spots. I'm not sure how to give better warnings, so if it gets to you, feel free to drop the novel. Lots of love!
3. Happy ending, one-on-one romance.
P.S. This is the second part of The Knight's Song in G Major. If you're interested, you can bookmark this book and read the first part before starting this one, or start here and go back to the first part if you like it...
You can read them in either order, but I recommend starting with the first part so you don't miss anything in this one!
Blurb for I'm the Homeroom Teacher at the School Bully Boot Camp
Lansa skipped school, got into fights, and drove illegally from a young age. She dreamed of piloting mechs and fighting bloody battles, yet grew up to become exactly what she hated most: a mech instructor who teaches and nurtures the next generation.
Assigned as the homeroom teacher of Class 9, she walks in on her first day and gets drenched by a bucket of ice water.
The students burst out laughing. "Can a little girl really be our homeroom teacher? Hahaha!"
Class 9 is known as the School Bully Boot Camp. Its students skip class, get into fights, and drive illegally... They're basically miniature versions of Lansa.
Delinquent illegal driver: "I don't wanna go to class! Butt out again and I'll twist your head off!"
Underground fighter and petite girl: "My hands are for punching people, not doing homework!"
Dark, explosive mastermind: "I'll blow your house to rubble one day."
Lansa: This is karma. It has to be karma!
Maybe these little troublemakers bring out her competitive streak. Lansa grips two blades and slams them onto the podium. "Before graduation, Class 9 will be the best in the school!"
The bullies: "?"
The bullies: "Hahahahaha!"
The whole class erupts in laughter, but Lansa doesn't. She's serious.
When a student is fighting for their life in an underground arena, she takes their place and fights to the death.
When a student is targeted by smugglers, she carves a path through the enemy and takes out their base.
When foreign forces invade the school, she's the first to risk her life in battle...
Miraculously, the bullies learn to do their homework and follow the rules. At Lansa's command, they set off in their mechs in mighty formation.
Class 9's nickname changes from [School Bully Boot Camp] to [Big Happy Family of Mad Dogs].
Wait, Big Happy Family of Mad Dogs???
Lansa thinks it over. ...Actually, that does fit.
Later, an interstellar war breaks out, and the government calls on the entire planet to enlist elite fighters.
The odds of returning from this battle are slim, so everyone has to think it over carefully.
Then a squad of exactly twenty people, lined up in neat rows, appears at the registration desk. Not one of them looks hesitant.
At the front, Lansa calls out, "The entire mech class of Class 9 requests permission to join the battle!"

The heroine slaughters her way through the opposition and whips the little brats into shape. Basically, it's all about the satisfaction.
