Alice begged Shigeko to take her along. Softhearted, Shigeko took Alice with her and fled from Tokyo to Yokohama, where they would be less likely to get caught and dragged back. With nowhere else to turn, Mori Shigeko, who had been taught to read, write, and do accounts by her family, joined the Port Mafia's accounting department. Who would have thought that the vile, lecherous leader of the Port Mafia would threaten Shigeko with Alice's safety to force her to submit to his sexual advances!
