Cocky, rebellious race car driver vs. popular comic artist
Blurb:
Yun Li first met Shen Chi when she was sixteen.
The old master introduced her enthusiastically: “This is Yun Li, your Grandpa Yun’s granddaughter. She’ll be staying with us for a while.”
Yun Li blinked, clutched the straps of her backpack, and timidly called him, “Big Brother.”
He frowned and went back to his room. “I didn’t just magically acquire a little sister.”
The day Yun Li left, Shen Chi pretended not to care. “Can’t you stay?”
Yun Li gently shook her head.
Shen Chi laughed in anger, then slammed the door and left. “Yun Li, you’re really something.”

They reunited after the FIA GT Grand Prix.
The AT Club threw a celebration for Shen Chi, the supercar driver who had just claimed a swaggering victory. Surrounded by people, he stood at the center of the crowd, smiling with carefree arrogance, the lights accentuating his sharp features.
Yun Li stepped forward. “It’s been so many years. Have you been well?”
“Not bad,” Shen Chi replied with a faint smile, his voice warm yet cool. “Naturally, not as well as you, Miss Yun, with your cold heart.”
In that moment, Yun Li came to her senses. Shen Chi was no longer the boy he had been. Seven years apart had left him with plenty of resentment.
The day after their reunion, Yun Li was so worried about being pressured to marry that she had a headache. Then Shen Chi knocked on her door.
“Bring your ID. We’re getting married.”
The two made a pact to live together in peace. At first, everything went well, but it wasn’t long before Shen Chi repeatedly crossed the line.
Yun Li’s eyes reddened as she clung to his arm and pouted. “You said you wanted nothing from marrying me...”
“Lili,” Shen Chi said unhurriedly, loosening his tie. His warm breath burned her ear as his voice turned low and enticing.
“You want a marriage. I want you. Is that so wrong?”

Shen Chi would never forget.
When he was young and rebellious, he often came home late. The old master would order all the lights in the house turned off, but a small lamp would always be lit in Yun Li’s room. Beneath the dazzling stars, the little girl would greet him with a radiant smile and clear, lovely eyes, as if she were nestled in a world of gentle tenderness.
“Brother Chi, you’re back.”
Let Me Take Your Side
Blurb:
Ruan Wenning and Zhou Lianxun were complete opposites.
The former was well-behaved and sensible, gentle and quiet, a high achiever whose grades and rankings were always near the top. The latter was the center of attention, an insufferable troublemaker and a notorious playboy.
She watched him behave outrageously time and again, yet couldn’t help hiding him in the most secret corner of her heart.
At a bar, a game landed them with a kiss.
Zhou Lianxun gave a roguish smile and suddenly wrapped an arm around her waist.
They drew closer and closer, gazing into each other’s eyes as electricity danced at their fingertips. The atmosphere was charged and intoxicating.
“You’re too well-behaved. How about I teach you to be a little bad?” His hoarse voice brushed her ear like a hot wave.
No one knew they had been secretly together for a long time.
They rushed into their relationship, and their breakup came even more abruptly.
Zhou Lianxun issued a harsh warning. “I’d better never see you again for the rest of my life.”
*
When they met again, Zhou Lianxun had become Nancheng’s coldest financier, while Ruan Wenning had been named a rising screenwriter. As company president, Zhou Lianxun presented her with an award.
She pretended not to know him, trying to ignore the heat of his gaze.
But backstage, he blocked her way, closing in step by step until she was trapped in his arms. His low voice filled her ear. “Can I pursue you again?”
Ruan Wenning looked at him calmly, not a trace of emotion in her eyes. “Keep dreaming.”
Later, a male coworker walked her home from work and confessed his feelings along the way.
Zhou Lianxun emerged from the shadows and grabbed her wrist. Uncharacteristically flustered, he gritted out each word. “Your standards have really slipped. You’d go for someone like him?”
Ruan Wenning replied coolly, “Anyone but Zhou Lianxun will do.”
The man lowered his head and gave a mocking laugh, his voice dejected. “I’d be willing to change my name. Could you give me a chance?”
*
Zhou Lianxun had once been a carefree playboy, but after graduation his personality changed completely. Not even a female mosquito could get near him. His friends used to joke that he might as well become a monk.
Then one day, someone saw Zhou Lianxun keeping the company’s newest contracted screenwriter alone in his office.
The man carefully helped the woman put on her luxury heels. His smile was casual and wicked, his voice devilishly seductive.
“Ruan Wenning, even the employees pass their probation period. When are you going to make me permanent?”
