The cold wind at winter's end blew into the alley. On the other side of a wall, Lin Chu heard a few boys making a bet about her:
"Jie, if you can date her for two whole months without breaking up, you win."
A few days later, he brushed past her, blood running down his head.
She stepped into the alley and held out a hand. "Excuse me, are you feeling unwell?"
A few days after that, outside a gaming arcade, he called out to her.
"Hey, how about being my girlfriend?"
Lin Chu thought it over for a few days.
On April 9, she said yes.
On June 9, the college entrance exam ended.
Two months was his bet, and hers too.
"Make it through this stretch, and you'll be the winner."
!!
I, Zong Lan, am contracted with Jinjiang Literature City. I have never publicly shared any social media accounts on Jinjiang Literature City, nor have I ever said on Jinjiang Literature City that the Weibo account "Zong Lan's Weibo" belongs to me. That account is impersonating me on its own.
I, Zong Lan, also don't have Douyin, Kuaishou, or any of those accounts. The Douyin account online claiming to be me is an impersonator. The QQ account listed in its bio does not belong to me either. I have never publicly shared any Weixin, QQ, or other social media accounts. I don't know whether the Weixin, QQ, and other accounts the impersonator has posted online belong to her, but they certainly don't belong to me. I have never created a fan topic or fan group, publicly shared a public account, or made my photos or videos public. The photos and videos the impersonator posted on Weibo, Douyin, and elsewhere are not mine. I have heard they don't belong to the impersonator either, but were stolen from other people.
The impersonator has issued audio drama licenses in my name and answered questions about publication while pretending to be me. Some readers have said that the impersonator once claimed on Weibo that she had no clothes to wear and asked readers to crowdfund money for her. The impersonator's Weibo account was registered in 2019. A year has passed by now, in 2020, and there is no way I can personally trace everything she has done over such a long time. If anyone has suffered physical or financial harm, I recommend reporting it to the police. They can investigate and identify the impersonator.
Some readers have said that the impersonator once claimed on Douyin that she knew celebrities and was going out to have fun with them. The impersonator also joined many novel and TV drama groups. I, Zong Lan, haven't even seen most of those novels and TV dramas, let alone joined their groups to chat. Anything the impersonator said in those groups was not said by me. In short, any statements or actions made online by the impersonator while claiming to be the Jinjiang Literature City author Zong Lan were not made by me, and do not reflect my views. If the impersonator has offended or harmed you, please report it to the police.
!!!
I, Zong Lan, am an author on Jinjiang Literature City and interact with readers only on Jinjiang Literature City. I do not interact with people on Weibo, Douyin, Weixin, Kuaishou, QQ, public accounts, reader groups, novel groups, TV or movie groups, or anywhere else. I would never appear in those places under the name Zong Lan. The person who appeared and was active there before was impersonating me, not me.
Whether in the past, present, or future, if you see any account or person claiming to be the Jinjiang Literature City author Zong Lan anywhere outside the Jinjiang Literature City website, they are fake.
The internet is not beyond the reach of the law. Learn about our country's ability to maintain public order online.
The impersonator stole a large number of other people's private photos. If you are the person in those photos and want to defend your rights, sue the impersonator. Contacting me won't help. The person you should hold accountable is the impersonator who personally committed the crime, not me, the victim being impersonated. Besides, I don't have any other social media accounts. The only way to contact me is to leave a comment under one of my Jinjiang stories, and I may not see it right away. (If I had really been diligent about checking on Zong Lan, I wouldn't have taken so long to discover I was being impersonated.)
The impersonator has also been involved with audio dramas and has said things about going out with celebrities. I don't know everything she has done in my name, and she certainly wouldn't tell me everything. If anyone has been harmed, I still recommend reporting it to the police. They can access information ordinary people can't, and investigate legally. If you investigate on your own, you could end up being accused of doxxing. That's illegal, so don't make a mistake for someone who isn't worth it.
