Intoxicated

A friend of his had a new bartender at the bar their family owned.

She was strikingly beautiful, mysterious, and the only clue to her identity was the name tag on her chest, which read "Jiujiu."

His friend called her "Sister Jiujiu."

Chen Zui never called her that. Whenever he saw her, he always wore the same cold, indifferent expression, showing no emotion as he addressed her by her full name: "An Jiujiu."

So naturally, An Jiu assumed he hated her.

Later, after an accident, An Jiu calmly said they could pretend it had never happened.

Chen Zui leaned against the bathroom doorway and lowered his eyes. His arms were crossed in front of him, and he shifted one hand to point at his neck. Lazily, he asked, "Are you sure you want to go to work like that, Sister Jiujiu?"

Memories of the previous night came flooding back. An Jiu's ears turned red, a rare sight, but she kept her face stern and her voice cold. "It's none of your business."

In the end, Chen Zui contacted their friend and helped An Jiu call in sick.
