The day Shen Qianyao returned to the country, Gu Shun came to pick her up.

The man lowered his head and glanced at the balding middle-aged man beside her. His face was expressionless. "Who are you planning to leave with, Shen Qianyao?"

Shen Qianyao smiled sweetly. "You."

Looking at the handsome childhood friend she hadn't seen in years, she didn't mention that she'd mistaken him for the bald guy. "Long time no see. Big Brother, you've gotten even more handsome."

The Shen and Gu families had been family friends for generations, and arranged marriages were nothing unusual.

On their wedding night, the two fell into a cold war. Gu Shun left on a business trip, leaving Shen Qianyao alone in their empty home.

A week later, Shen Qianyao called him. "Darling, when are you coming back?"

What she really meant was probably: I miss you.

At first, Gu Shun thought so too. That is, until he rushed back to Yuncheng overnight and found a party at home. His newlywed wife was drinking red wine and playing cards with people, wearing a dazzling smile. There wasn't the slightest sign that she'd missed her husband.

Friend: "Yaoyao, your husband is at the door."

Shen Qianyao: "Quit lying. He clearly said he wasn't coming back. If he's really at the door, I'll show you how to force myself on him..."

Before she could finish, Gu Shun had already come up behind her. He reached out, scooped her up from her seat, and said, "Go to the bedroom and show me."
