Xu Renyu Says, Hallelujah

CP: Demon Hallelujah x Seo In-woo from Diary of a Psychopath, narcissistic romance.

This story is written for @Blue Cactus. I only want it to be sweet. I'm trying it out, and if it doesn't work, I'll stop writing it.

I'm a goofy internet user. There are plenty of headcanons and OOC characterization, so please be gentle if that's not your thing.

Synopsis:

When someone has had faith since the day they were baptized, their rebellion can be all the more fierce when that faith collapses.

Seo In-woo's mother was just such a person.

Overwork had made her ill, and she couldn't bear to leave her son behind. She went to church and prayed every day, but received no answer from God. Instead, a demon seized the opportunity.

Having made a pact with her, the demon was able to linger in the human world for a little while.

"So you're my mom now?" Little Seo In-woo asked around his lollipop.

"Watch your mouth, you little brat!" Hallelujah snatched the lollipop and popped it into his own mouth, licking it with loud smacks.

"Waaah!"

He'd made the kid cry on the very first day.

Hallelujah only doubled down. "From now on, you're mine! You have to make me happy, got it?"

"Waaah!"

Hallelujah grew irritated. With a swish, he spread his wings and tried to fly away, but little Seo In-woo grabbed him by the tail.

"Are you an angel?"

"I'm the big bad Hallelujah!"

"Doesn't Hallelujah mean praise God?"

"Wrong! Hallelujah is a catchphrase!"

Much later, they ran into Seo Jong-hyun's family on the street. At the time, Seo In-woo was dressed like a little prince.

Hallelujah introduced himself. "I'm Seo In-woo's dad."

Seo In-woo grabbed his pant leg and kicked his shin, over and over.
