Mu Yan had a blue fire spirit root and was born into the Xuantian Sect with a bonded spirit weapon.
Before she was even a hundred, she had reached the middle stage of the Great Ascension realm. She was the Xuantian Sect's best candidate to ascend to the Immortal Realm.
In the end, she died at the hands of her own disciple on the day of her hundredth birthday banquet.
The plum blossom parasite had tormented Mu Yan for years, damaging her mind. Only as she lay dying did she realize the absurd things she had done. With her last bit of strength, she purged her disciple's inner demons. She should have died then and there, body and soul destroyed.
But only after her death did she learn that everything she had gone through was part of a scheme someone had deliberately set in motion.
Thankfully, Heaven took pity on her and gave her a chance to live her life over. She had only two wishes.
First, she would make those who disregarded other people's lives pay for it.
Second, she would protect her disciple and see him find a good match and ascend to the Immortal Realm.
But as she continued protecting him, she never expected to uncover an even greater secret.
