Cherished in Secret

Ming Rui was the youngest daughter of Emperor Ming, raised from birth as a precious treasure.

But then, in a single night, a palace coup erupted. The Prince of Nanhuai led his troops in rebellion, seized the imperial city, and dragged her royal father from the throne.

After the new emperor took the throne, everyone in and out of the palace was eager to laugh at Ming Rui. The princess, once treated like royalty, was now a lowly palace maid in the imperial city. How would she survive from here on?

At court, the officials bickered endlessly over the new emperor's plans to take an empress. Little did they know that every night, in his chambers, their emperor held the little princess close and asked ingratiatingly, "Will you be my empress today? If you still won't, I'll ask again tomorrow."

One question every day, one night together every day.
