After the Soul-Reaping Accident

After a Soul-Reaping Mishap, We Got Our Happy Ending!

Xie Yu is a fierce soul reaper, the kind of guy who has ranked first in the annual soul-reaping KPI assessment for three years straight, leaving all the other ghost reapers in the dust.

To investigate the tragedy that took his parents and older brother, Xie Yu works himself to the bone after dying unexpectedly, all so he can get promoted to Judge and become the first person from the mortal realm to hold that position in the Underworld.

That is, until Lu Fen, who shamelessly mooches off him for food and lodging, latches on.

[Your big Mingjiao cat is asking you to keep him.]

Xie Yu: ...Get lost!

From Xicheng to the frontier, from the mystic sects to the Underworld, Xie Yu can't pry Lu Fen off him. But...

What's with this cat? It's bad enough that he's always trying to cuddle up and rub against him, but he also loves kneading the air in public.

Xie Yu, just about to start a fight: Don't I have any dignity?!

Cat cuddles: We agreed! My wife feeds me, and I fight!

[Across countless worlds, the path to bliss beckons. For you, I dance a sacred vow.]

“Perhaps the mishap that brought us together was a reunion long in the making.”
