After Marrying the Blind, Disgraced Crown Prince to Bring Him Good Fortune

Reborn into a new life, Mu Zhaozhao knows for certain that she is destined to marry into the imperial family, and she wants to choose a different path.

She doesn't want to marry Prince Ning, who will later ascend the throne, and be trapped in the inner household, constantly embroiled in palace intrigue with his many favored concubines and consorts.

Mu Zhaozhao has had enough of such exhausting days filled with scheming and infighting.

Given another chance at life, she only wants to take good care of herself.

But she was reborn too late. Many opportunities have already slipped away. Yan Shuo, Prince Ning's full brother and the crown prince, has already been blinded in an assassination attempt, and before long, he will be stripped of his title.

Suddenly, Mu Zhaozhao had an idea.

What if she could follow Yan Shuo to his fiefdom...

If she remembered correctly, Yan Shuo's fiefdom was in Jiangnan, where the weather was warm and the waters clear. It sounded like a wonderful place to live.

Yan Shuo knew of Mu Zhaozhao.

She was the woman his mother had chosen as a wife for his younger brother: virtuous, gentle, gracious, intelligent, and talented, with all the makings of an empress.

Yan Shuo had no interest in the throne. When an assassination attempt left him temporarily blind, he concealed his condition and went along with it.

Yet while blind, he found himself "seeing" many delights he had never noticed before.

And just as everyone else was keeping their distance, a young woman resolutely walked through the crowd and sat down across from him.

Yan Shuo could hear the slight tremble in the young woman's fingers as she held her cup, but her voice was firm and unwavering.

She said

she wished to marry him.

To accompany and support him for the rest of their lives, and never let him down.

The mist hangs thick, then thickens once more.

The east wind scatters jade dust.
