[Haikyu!!] A Little One Falls from the Sky, and I Fall for an Athletic Boy

Because her father is a baseball player and her mother is a rhythmic gymnast, the sports-averse daughter of two athletes, Yuzu Amamiya, got the chance to make a wish upon a shooting star.

For ten days straight, nothing happened, and Yuzu decided that wishing on shooting stars was a scam!

Then one day, a two-year-old suddenly appeared in her bed, rushed over, hugged her, and shouted, "Mommy!"

"...Huh? Mommy? Hold on a second!"

Her parents, supposedly on the verge of divorce and waiting for her dad to return from a competition in the United States before finalizing it, had secretly had another baby?

Yuzu was baffled and utterly stunned, right up until the test results came in.

Doctor: "The test confirms that this is indeed Ms. Amamiya's child."

Yuzu: "0.0 Wait, does 'Ms. Amamiya' mean me or my dad, Nakayoshi Amamiya?"

Doctor: "You, Yuzu Amamiya."

Yuzu: "."

Forced onto the path of parenthood, Yuzu eventually discovered after looking into it from every angle that her daughter, who called herself Chichi, had extraordinary athletic instincts.

Chikuri: "Ayu, Daddy taught me to bump the ball like this. Whoa, bam!"

Yuzu: "." Her kid's dad plays volleyball, too.

This is a disaster!

To find her daughter's father and pass off this hot potato (strike that), find the biological father of the world's cutest Chikuri, Yuzu resolutely signed up for the Inarizaki volleyball club.

Yuzu wrote a bold declaration in her brand-new diary:

"The grand plan to find Chikuri-chan's biological father (strike that)"

"Which blond guy got me pregnant and dumped the kid on an underage girl? I'm seriously getting mad! This is exactly why I say sports guys can't be trusted!"

A new classmate who could cook exceptionally well had joined the Inarizaki High School volleyball club. The only downside was that his little sister hated every athlete with yellow or orange hair equally.

Atsumu Miya: "Is she targeting me? She is, isn't she?"

Yuzu Amamiya's classmate also had a two-year-old daughter who followed her around everywhere. Though she wasn't even as tall as a volleyball, Chikuri-chan was determined to become the best setter in all of Japan.

The only problem was that Chikuri-chan was face-blind and ran up to everyone calling them Daddy.

Except she was terrified of Atsumu Miya.

Atsumu Miya: "Amamiya, your daughter has a problem with me."

Yuzu Amamiya: "Um, actually, so do I." Is it okay to say that, teach? I really, really hate blond athletes.

QwQ, whoever it is.

After learning the truth, Atsumu Miya picked up Chikuri, who was clutching a volleyball. "Miya Chikuri, why would you rather call Osamu Miya Daddy than me?"

Chikuri: "Waaah, " Mommy, save me!

Tips:

1. A slice-of-life story, with very few match scenes.

2. OOC warning.

3. A diary about new parents floundering through childcare, learning everything from scratch.

4. The male lead is Atsumu Miya. This is an indulgent fic written to console myself (?), with lots of self-published content.

Theme: Whether things are going well or you're facing adversity, stay true to yourself and keep working hard.
