The Taotie's Little Raccoon Cub

Miaomiao is four years old and attends the middle class at Forest Kindergarten.

The little fox, squirrel, and rabbit are all his friends.

But Teacher Goat brings Taotie into the class,

saying she'll give this new friend to him as a birthday present.

He's so tall and scary that all the little ones are frightened,

but Brother Taotie is really handsome.

One day, Miaomiao loses his parents and his home.

Lost and alone, he grabs the hem of Taotie's clothes as he passes by.

"Big brother, can you take me home?"

And so all the animals in the forest get to see

the cutest little raccoon,

perched on the broad back of the mighty Taotie,

humming "Under the Bridge by the Front Gate" and kicking his little feet.

They tease him: "Whose little cub is this?"

Miaomiao answers in his baby voice: "I'm Brother Taotie's little cub!"

Everyone tells Miaomiao that Taotie is terribly fierce,

and that his huge, bloody mouth will eat him up.

But Miaomiao would never tell them

that his big brother's lips are soft and sweet, just like cotton candy.

Bonus scene:

Reporter A: Gossip, gossip, major gossip!

Reporter B: Hey! Is it about that sasaeng fan of rising star Tao Ti?

Reporter A: I heard that kid has been following him around for a month, wearing a hat and a mask!

Reporter B: Didn't they say the company was ready to call the police?

Reporter A: Yesterday, the kid saw Tao Ti and grabbed his trouser leg, refusing to let go.

Reporter B: Everyone knows Tao Ti has a thing about cleanliness. Didn't he get mad?

Reporter A: Not only did he not get mad, he picked the kid up off the ground and even said...

Reporter B: Said what?

Reporter A: I think he said, "Little cub, don't sit on the ground. You'll catch a cold."
