Capturing Souls

Blurb

Qi Huailin, head of the Qi family, had an accident while helping someone drive away evil spirits.

A male ghost named Yu Ye was exorcised and latched onto him instead. To his surprise, Qi Huailin couldn't get rid of him.

Yu Ye took up residence in Qi Huailin's body and refused to leave.

And so Qi Huailin's nightmare began.

When Qi Huailin was awake, Yu Ye made noise inside his head.

Whenever he fell deeply asleep or let his guard down, Yu Ye would seize control of his body and run wild wherever he pleased.

Qi Huailin: What will it take for you to leave my body?

Yu Ye: I'll leave once I find my own body.

A week later, Qi Huailin found Yu Ye's body. Or rather, a piece of it: a small, irregular lump of dried meat.

Qi Huailin held the lump of dried meat and fell silent for a long while.

Qi Huailin: What is this?

Yu Ye: My body.

Qi Huailin: Your body's a dried-up corpse?

Yu Ye: It shrank after I, the soul, left it.

Qi Huailin: And then it dried up and crumbled?

Yu Ye: Mm, looks that way.

Qi Huailin: So which part of your body is this dried meat?

Yu Ye: ...My brother.

Qi Huailin: … (He tossed it back into the box.)

Yu Ye: Ow! Be gentle! My brother can't take you messing around with him like that.

Qi Huailin: Where did I put the disinfectant?
