Fortune-Telling

I tried my best with the blurb:

Yang Jiqing, the Yang family's founding ancestor, woke up to find nearly all his descendants dead. The only one left was Yang Yile, adopted by the Yang family, who had learned their ancestral fortune-telling arts in a haphazard fashion and ended up as a part-time charlatan.

Ren Chaolan, the Ren family's founding ancestor, woke to find his descendants had gone from doing business with the living to doing business with the dead. The Ren family had become the wealthiest family in the world of mystic arts.

.

Four hundred years later, Yang Jiqing, dressed in a bright red wedding gown, lifted the lid of Ren Chaolan's coffin.

Ren Chaolan: ...Wife?

Yang Jiqing: Who's your wife? Have you rotted your brain lying in that coffin?

As it turned out, all that sleep really had done a number on Ren Chaolan's brain...
