When the Lord of the Dead Returns to the Modern World

In the hundredth year of the Undead Lord's rule over the continent, he finally got his wish and returned to his hometown.

The ten million undead troops who followed him returned with him.

With rain leaking through the earthen house's roof and nothing but bare walls inside, the Undead Lord gripped his staff and decided to start by farming ten thousand acres. Skeletons would till the fields, bone birds would look after the orchards, and he'd bundle up the household's liches too.

Late-night rideshare driver, burly chauffeur, undead detective, supermodel liches carrying a coffin... Money doesn't matter. He just needs something to do as he returns to modern society.

Not long afterward, seated in a magnificent new palace, the Undead Lord sighed. "Ruling the world is exhausting. Farming is much better."

One day, the world changed. The supernatural abilities from books became reality, and people with powers appeared everywhere. Just as certain criminals planned to take advantage of the chaos, mysterious creatures calling themselves Undead Apostles would always appear, coldly slamming them to the ground.

Criminals: ...

This isn't the apocalypse scenario we were promised! Start over!

Chi Yuan sat by the river fishing shoulder to shoulder with a silver-haired man, his expression cold. "Who said this was an apocalypse novel? It's a farming novel!"

The silver-haired man froze. "Huh? Isn't it a romance novel?"
