To the Lover Who Stopped Beyond My Future

At the darkest point in my life, someone once reached out and took my hand. He told me not to be afraid, that he would protect me and lead me out of the darkness toward a bright future. I don't know whether the future will be bright, but in that moment, I really wanted to step into a future with him. I followed his example and became a police officer. Then I discovered that the person who had pushed me toward the future had stayed behind forever, before dawn. In the end, I couldn't reach a future with him. So let me watch over the future we created on his behalf. * Short story, BE, the pairing is Scotland. Theme: Death is not the end. Being forgotten is.
