The Rebellious Disciple

Chi Wu, the founder of the art-control school, has a face as handsome as jade and peerless elegance. Yet after a rebellion, he slept for a thousand years. When he awoke, his old friends were gone, and the world had changed beyond recognition. Things that once required spiritual power can now be easily accomplished by ordinary people with tools: flying through the sky and sailing the seas. You need to carry an ID card when you go out, and pay for meals with a little square device. His palace once stretched for miles, and countless mountain ranges belonged to his people. Now he can only live in a house of just over a hundred square meters. Sharing his cramped home is a little snake that woke up alongside him. The snake is only palm-sized, black and gold, and fierce in the most adorable way. Whenever it gets upset, it uses his hand as a chew toy. As memories from the past gradually return, the truth that had slept for many years is finally revealed. Chi Wu finally remembers that he once had a treacherous disciple. Usually well-behaved and obedient, the disciple offered up his life a thousand years ago, when Chi Wu was at death's door, and opened the path to his reincarnation. Oh, right, that treacherous disciple's true form was a snake. Theme: Prosperity, democracy, civility, and harmony
