"If you hadn't once loved someone like this, how could you remember them year after year?"
The Lu and Yu families were close. Yu Ci had been in love with her childhood friend Lu Yanqi since they were young, and that summer after high school graduation, she finally decided to be brave.
Their whole circle of friends was there. In the chaos, someone shoved her into his arms. Amid the laughter, she summoned her courage, blushed, and whispered in his ear, "I like you."
"Is that so?" The dashing young man looked down at her with a cool, mocking smile. "But I've never considered you a friend."
As everyone laughed, she lowered her head, her face red as blood, humiliated as though her dignity had been trampled underfoot. From that day on, Yu Ci resolutely vanished from Lu Yanqi's world, swearing never to see him again.
They met again many years later.
Once, Lu Yanqi put a piece of fish in her bowl.
She gently shook her head. "I don't eat fish."
Lu Yanqi: "I know. I picked out the bones so one won't get stuck in your throat."
She still shook her head.
Lu Yanqi put down his chopsticks and looked into her eyes. "Why are you always so stubborn?"
Yu Ci lowered her head and slowly brought food to her mouth.
That's the kind of person she is. One fish bone gets stuck in her throat, and she can go her whole life without eating fish. One wound caused by someone, and she can remember it for the rest of her life, refusing to forgive.
-The more you loved someone, the more you wanted to get away from them-
She said furiously, "Lu Yanqi, you're crazy!"
He leaned against the doorway, gazing at her quietly with an inscrutable smile. "What does it matter if I destroy heaven and earth, as long as I can have you?"
The love of youth cuts to the heart, and you only get it once in a lifetime.
A fish bone buried in the heart, lingering year after year.
A story of growing up in the springtime of youth.

01
At the class reunion, the two people everyone was waiting for were both absent.
Fu Yizhen didn't come, and Cheng Jinshi didn't either.
Someone gossiped: "Did they agree not to come together?"
"I heard they got married a long time ago."
"Yuhuan, weren't you pretty close to the class beauty?"
Yuhuan, sitting in the corner, lifted her head. Her lips barely formed a smile, but she said nothing.
As the reunion was about to end, Cheng Jinshi finally arrived.
Surrounded by admirers beneath the swaying lights, the wedding ring on his left hand glimmered quietly. Of everyone there, only Yuhuan didn't move.
She remembered another night, many years ago...
02
Once, back in high school, Fu Yizhen rented an entire guesthouse for a party. It was lively and crowded.
Cheng Jinshi was late, and Fu Yizhen was in a bad mood, so she pulled Yuhuan into drinking with her.
It was past midnight when Cheng Jinshi finally arrived. Fu Yizhen ran to him and grabbed him. As their classmates whooped, she smiled like a gambler who'd won everything in the world.
Across the crowd, the boy leaning lazily against the doorway lifted his eyes and glanced toward Yuhuan. "Why is she here too?"
Then he looked away indifferently, as if even one more glance would annoy him.
After midnight, the guesthouse suddenly lost power, and the girls screamed in fright. In the chaos, Fu Yizhen's voice rang out, sweet, intimate, soft, and coquettish.
"Ashi, will you hold me? I'm so scared."
Yuhuan sat alone on the balcony and finished the rest of the alcohol.
The stars sank into the night. The song "Under Mount Fuji" played for the thirty-third time.
Yuhuan swayed as the bottle and glass clinked in her hands. A little tipsy, she went inside and opened the door, nearly bumping into someone.
Cheng Jinshi leaned in the shadows, his expression impossible to make out. Suddenly, he reached out, and Yuhuan instinctively stepped back.
A quiet laugh came from above her. His breath drew close, and then the bottle and glass disappeared from Yuhuan's hands. She looked up into his dark, amused eyes. In that familiar, icy tone, he teased her: "Class rep, do you always like throwing yourself into people's arms?"
Ignoring her mortification, he took her bottle and glass and left. As he passed her, he still dropped his voice to say, "Drink less next time. Don't go crashing into just anyone."
Only later, when Yuhuan turned around, did she realize he had been standing where he could clearly see her on the balcony.
03
Now she was a nameless extra in this schoolyard story, and some unknown nobody in this marriage.
No one knew that she had taken off the other wedding ring that morning and put it back in the jewelry box.
The reunion ended. The night breeze was cool, and Yuhuan stood at the entrance waiting for someone when a horn sounded behind her.
She turned and saw Cheng Jinshi inside the car. The window slid down slowly. His profile was sharply defined as he said calmly, "Get in."
Across the night, Yuhuan stood completely still and looked at him.
"Let's get divorced."
04
Everyone thought she was the one-sided lover, and he was indifferent.
But she alone didn't know...
He walked slowly, not because he'd failed to catch up, but because no one was waiting for him.
Marriage first, love later + rekindled romance
Cool and indifferent x gentle and calculating
The title is taken from Eason's song "Under Mount Fuji."
*Chapter one is a prologue. The main story begins in chapter two. It is told in chronological order, from the memories before the marriage through to the events in the prologue. Please don't get the timeline mixed up, everyone. The arcs are labeled.
Neither lead is perfect. The three characters in this story all act according to their own interests and perspectives, and their choices are somewhat controversial. Please read with an open mind and don't make it about moral values.
Realistic fiction, not formulaic, one-on-one romance, both leads' first love. No more spoilers.
Theme: A story of growing up in the springtime of youth.
I like it very much, the portrayal of the male protagonist and the growth of the female protagonist are so successful. There are not so many tyrants in this world. What is more common is the refined egoism of the first male. Because of the excellent conditions of nature and nurture, he has occupied superior resources, so he is arrogant on the surface and selfish and caressing vanity on the inside. Regarding the heroine's family relationship, and later her love affair with the male lead, it was also written very successfully, and the reality revealed tenderness and beauty in every aspect. The male lead is really the boyfriend that all girls want. He is respectful, caring, and frank and direct. He gives the female protagonist freedom but never flinches. What bothers me the most is why you dump someone and pretend to be a saint, saying it is for the other person's good. Such a serious illness
I'm so angry about this man named Lu. I thought he was so affectionate. He even called his brothers to persuade the heroine to be too humble. And his father is so well-matched that he is sarcastic. I'm really pissed off. Brother Xuan is better. When you fall in love, go to someone like Brother Xuan. Fortunately, he is the second male lead. My aunt laughed when I read it.
It was very healing to watch. Although Xiaoci had met bad people, he also met good people later on. They warmed and healed Xiaoci. I really like the relationship between the two siblings. The younger brother is very protective of his older sister, and the older sister is very protective of her younger brother. After reading it, I really feel that Chaosheng is very suitable for Xiaoci. He will listen to Xiaoci's inner voice and allow Xiaoci to relax and talk about small things in life or memory. Moreover, he respects Xiaoci very much, and both of them can be each other's children!
Ahhh author I love you!! This is the sound of tide, it touches me so much!!
Good looking, when will I meet someone like Xuan Chaosheng?
The male protagonist is what the female protagonist likes, and Xuan Chaosheng is the real male protagonist
The writing written by Tu Bao is so warm! Only after watching it did you know that I am not the second male lead?
It is very beautiful. The story about the growth process of an introverted girl is very touching and real. When facing the former superior secret admirer and bully, the story goes from being patient to fighting back. It is very beautiful. The attitude of being able to speak peacefully but never forgiving when facing the hurter is very good. The pursuit process that only occupies a small part of the story is what I have seen in the well-written crematorium of chasing a wife but not succeeding. The relationship between the heroine and her boyfriend is very comfortable to watch. This is a treasure novel.
The story I wrote is somewhat similar to my emotional experience.
Have I fully booked it?? This is the first time I have bought a complete book. The author writes so well!!! Love the hero so much
