I've been reading stories for over a decade, and there have been so many that left me with regrets. So many that I've forgotten most of them.
This year, I suddenly discovered the catharsis of "defying fate," so I dug out this short story that I've nearly read to pieces and decided to write the ending I wanted. It's an old story. I once searched to see if there was a sequel, but couldn't find one.
Sigh... Every time I read this, I get sad all over again, especially the part in the first half where Yan Ran is imprisoned in the prince's residence and forced to do menial labor. It really hits my angst-loving nerve. The ending is technically happy, but it doesn't comfort me. It still feels like something is missing.
I've also come to realize more and more that I'm a sucker for sickly bottom characters. I love reading and writing them. I can't even, hahaha.
Theme: A plot bunny about making a scumbag top slowly make amends as the years go by.
Oh my god, I read the original work a long time ago, and someone is actually continuing it 🤩
Will I still be able to read it in my lifetime? (Cry loudly)
Are you going to stop writing? Very beautiful
I have to make up for the original work first!
