Half-Divine Fox Demon

An outline for a short story. Updates whenever inspiration strikes, so don't wait, don't wait (??O??)

I raised an emperor in the human realm.

They called me a seductress and said I was a fox demon.

Though I really was a fox demon, sickly and looking like I was about to die.

Though I really was about to die.

But no one knew that ten thousand years ago, I was a divine fox who stood as an equal to the Divine Emperor.

Mortals offered incense to me.

Then, after the war between gods and demons, the Divine Lord died,

and the Divine Fox disappeared, too.

So I raised an emperor in the human realm.

I gave him the last of my life.

Just before he died, he said to me, "Little fox, I'll marry you."

I thought about it and realized I'd waited a thousand years to hear those words.

We used to be gods, but now we're not even a human and a demon from different worlds.

I said, "I don't even count as a demon anymore. I'm a ghost, you know..."

"I'll go to the underworld with you."

Tsk. I went to all that trouble to save you, using up nine lives.

Happy ending, a very happy ending.

Third-person narration from the little fox's point of view.

It'll probably be very short. Just writing for fun.
