The general, who had lived with a crippled leg for years but remained in good health, died suddenly one night.

But after his death, he did not find himself in the underworld before King Yama.

He saw that Yuan Ningzhen had harbored improper desires since he was young.

He was reckless and cruel by nature, and never let a grudge go unanswered.

After Su Zhenheng died, Yuan Ningzhen was blood-soaked and nearly insane, condemned by the histories as a tyrant.

Meanwhile, the histories described Su Zhenheng as a great traitor, a jester who served the tyrant and disgraced the entire Su family, whose members had all been loyal to the country.

When Su Zhenheng opened his eyes again, he was back at the time of his return to the capital.

Just as in his previous life, Crown Prince Yuan Ningzhen was sitting respectfully by his bed, waiting for him to wake.

Su Zhenheng kicked him out of the palace with his other, strong leg.

In this life, Su Zhenheng had shed the patient and gentle manner of an elder he had shown in his previous life. In its place, he used vicious methods to take revenge on the Crown Prince, who was still gentle and well-behaved at this point.

Yuan Ningzhen's mind went blank. He looked toward Su Zhenheng and suddenly smiled.

"Master hates me, which means you've remembered me for two lifetimes."

"I like you even more than I did in our last life, Master."
