South Korea's Number One Shell Company

When Kim Hanyun was in middle school, he became the only trainee at HYK Entertainment. He didn't have to get yelled at or scolded, control his weight, or go through monthly evaluations. He had a spacious practice room and recording studio all to himself, and people did his laundry, cooked his meals, and cleaned for him. Wherever he went, a car was waiting to drive him. Of course, he didn't get all those perks just because he was HYK's only trainee. He was also HYK's only CEO, legal representative, company representative, accountant, and shareholder... In 2017, Produce 101 Season 2 began recruiting contestants. At last, Kim Hanyun had a chance to debut. He signed himself up as the CEO, and through sheer persistence and by attaching himself to powerful people, he finally made it into a group and debuted. A year later, the limited-time group disbanded. Kim Hanyun's fans were all happy their baby was the company's only trainee. He could return and debut as a solo artist, without having to drag down the others. Even some of his former teammates were jealous. But... Kim Hanyun dragged his luggage out of the dorm and returned to his own rundown company, which had nothing to offer, after more than a year away. He wished he could go back and take his former teammates' place, dragging down the others instead. After the limited-time group disbanded, the person everyone thought would be the first to debut solo stayed at the company with nothing to do, spending all day online reading fans' insults. - "A company that only cares about membership fees! They won't even let their only trainee debut! Is the CEO at home picking his toes?" Kim Hanyun: You got it. That's exactly what I'm doing at home. - "Is everyone at HYK dead?" Kim Hanyun: Not quite. - "When is the kid finally going to debut? I've already got my money ready qwq" Kim Hanyun: ... Later, when a group of diehard fans finally made it to HYK's doorstep, which was also Kim Hanyun's front door, and sat by the road holding signs that read "Let Kim Hanyun Debut" and "HYK, Go Bankrupt," Kim Hanyun, who was too timid to show his face, was deeply moved, though more scared than touched. In tears, he decided to give it another try. It wasn't like he hadn't debuted himself before. Who would have guessed that this single stubborn decision would turn HYK into South Korea's top label, a dark horse among entertainment companies? 2020.12.30 Theme: Be independent, strive to excel, work hard, and never give up
