BTS: The Darkest Star in the Night Sky

Blurb

Shen Lan Yin, who has one-quarter Black ancestry, had just joined Big Hit and was teaching the trainees to dance part-time as B-boy Mask.

But Shen Lan Yin hadn't expected Big Hit, despite having “Big” in its name, to actually be a tiny little workshop. And Bang Si Hyuk hadn't expected that B-boy Mask, whom Teacher Sung praised to no end, hadn't even graduated high school yet.

After working as a junior instructor at the little workshop for a while, Shen Lan Yin, who had always been quiet and lacking in confidence, gradually discovered that he had other strengths besides dancing: he was pretty good-looking, had a nice voice, and best of all, had inherited one-quarter of his father's natural talent: rapping came to him without any instruction.

And so

“Um, Mask... Lan Yin, I heard you don't plan to go to college after graduating high school. Do you have any plans? If not, would you consider becoming a trainee at the company?”

“A trainee... Would I still get paid?”

“Uh...”

Chubby Bang gritted his teeth and stamped his foot. “Yes!”

“Oh, then I'll give it a try.”

The company's trainees were in for a huge shock that day. Their tall, thin, quiet, sharp-eyed dance teacher Mask, who was amazing at dancing and always wore a hat and mask, was going to become a trainee!

Kim Seok Jin & Kim Nam Joon: Awesome, our teacher's becoming our classmate. We can finally take fewer dance classes!

Jung Ho Seok: Awesome, our teacher's becoming our classmate and roommate. Now we can take dance classes every day!
